Each evening Pali Adventures operates two different evening activities, chosen by the campers on arrival day! Incredible casino nights, weekly dance themes, pandemonium, mimic mania are just a few of the campers favorite activities.

Extreme Action Adventure Camp
From the minute you arrive under the expert supervision of our highly trained staff, you will experience some of the most thrilling, one-of-a-kind, action-packed, dirt-filled, adrenaline-pumped activities offered in camping today.
Pali Adventures operates TWO of the best high ropes courses. Whether experiencing our 227' long zip line, scaling to new heights on the 53' giant rock wall, racing ATVs, go-karts and minibikes or playing paintball on over 10 acres of ever popular fields you will be experiencing the most heart-pounding camping experience.
Let’s not forget, Extreme Action campers also utilize our awesome skate park, Shred City, test out their tactical skills with Lazer Tag and take an awesome mountain biking ride through the forest. You will sleep when you get home!!!

Secret Agent Camp If you love paintball, this is your specialty!
Our one-Week Program takes campers undercover for a thrill a minute ride to learn the skills of a real secret agent. Pali Adventures agents learn stealth tactics and undercover maneuvers while enjoying exhilarating and fun spy games, rapid-fire paintball challenges, high ropes course and martial arts techniques. It’s sure to get your heart pumping!
Pali’s Secret Agents, learn teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving skills and discipline. On critical missions with your fellow Pali Agents you’ll support one another as you push your limits scaling our 53’ high rock wall and fly through the air on the 227’ long zip line. Your strength and stamina will be severely tested on the five themed paintball fields including The Wild West, The Junkyard, President’s Field, High Noon, The Jungle, and the inflatable speedball field.
If that is not enough for you our two-week program: SPEC OPS will surely be for you! Add to the one week program, our special operations training, you will learn rapid room entry and room-clearing methods tested in covert missions around camp to prepare for your ultimate objective. Swat tactics and stealth techniques are used during longer and bigger paintball and laser tag battles.
Once you have mastered these skills, advanced training will include night time laser-tag combat drills and precision target shooting while riding the zip line and riding on the back of an ATV. Your Spec Ops training will culminate with an overnight camping trip including a recon and rescue mission.
Water Sports Extravaganza Camp
Pali Adventures offers campers the finest in watersports action. Water-skiing, jet skiing, wake and knee boarding, banana boats and tubing fun! Our Water Sports Extravaganza offers campers the opportunity to spend three hours daily getting semi-private lessons. Expert instructors will teach you to cut and jump the wake, ride switch-stance, end in a fakie position, perform stale fish grabs and so much more. Programs take place on Big Bear Lake, an incredible water sports environment where the water is a comfortable 70-72 degrees. If you love the water, this is your specialty!
Hollywood Stunt Camp
Campers are guided through a tried and tested series of steps to ensure for the maximum safety of campers while they perform basic stunts - rolls, low falls, headers and jumps. Our Stunt campers develop overall body coordination and learn tricks for landing on stunt pads, air pads and leaping off mini-trampolines. Campers progress at their own speed and are never advanced higher until competency has been fully demonstrated.
Using professional techniques, campers will perform a choreographed fight scene for the camp complete with breaking bottles and other assorted break-away objects.
Broadcast Journalism
Budding reporters will learn the basics of writing stories, reading on camera, stand-up reports on location, working from an anchor desk and the use of cue cards. Campers are taught the importance of camera operation and lighting to the production of producing a TV show. Daily campers produce newscasts that are shown daily at dinner for the entire camp, and posted on-line for proud parents watching at home. Campers love the thrill of watching themselves on screen and will take home a DVD of their work.
In addition to the glitz and glamour, we teach the importance of ethics in journalism and interview techniques. Future TV journalists are also taught editing techniques and green screen. Advanced campers will also learn how to create cool graphics as seen on network news.
Flying Trapeze and Aerial Arts
Pali Adventures is proud to offer a new, exciting program to our specialty list…The Flying Trapeze. Campers will spend three hours each morning working on improving their skills.
Professional and experienced trapeze instructors teach campers the basics of the trapeze through more advanced skills. This program will take campers as far as their skills will allow… hopefully we’ll have campers hanging and catching! To round off this magical program, our campers will work on the ribbon and lyra to get a well-rounded experience.

Film Institute
Campers get to write, shoot and premier their own film in this exciting specialty. Pali camper’s work with professionals from storyboarding, creating shot lists, shooting and editing. Writer/directors will develop movie ideas and shape them into screenplays, cast their films from the Acting Academy and yell "action" to fellow campers. These three minute (for one week) and Five minute movies get the Hollywood treatment at the Pali Film Festival! Campers will take home a DVD of their movie to show to family, friends and potential producers!
Fashion Design Institute
Pali’s fashionistas, with guidance from Pali's top-notch instructors, you will learn all they need to turn creative ideas into one-of-a-kind catwalk creations. Starting with a theme, campers will then begin sketching and illustrating their visions. Campers are taught the basics of stitching, sewing techniques, material characteristics, and the characteristics of the human body that determine the way clothing fits and flows. The highlight of the week is the incredible fashion show, where campers get to show fellow campers their incredible work.
Our two-week fashion program offers the campers the opportunity to get into more extravagant and detailed projects. During this more advanced week at the Fashion Institute, you'll get more time one-on-one time with our experienced designers and will get to use more intricate patterns and learn more advanced design techniques towards the weekly theme. Adding fabulous pieces to your growing fashion line, you will showcase your talents on the red carpet at the Pali Fashion Showcase. The audience will cheer your unique design creations.
Culinary Institute
If you love to cook, this is your specialty! Becoming the next top chef requires a foundation in mastering the quintessential basic culinary techniques. Pali Adventures’ Culinary Institute, provides campers the basic techniques and encourages imagination and creativity as you create tasty dishes and fine cuisine from around the world!
Cooking up a storm, you will prepare appetizers, soups and salads to round off your entrees and desserts. Learn the skills and trade secrets from our executive chef and culinary experts.
Daily themes, range from Southern Buffet to Mediterranean Nights, Mexican Fiesta to Sports Party Madness, along with Chinese Banquet, Thanksgiving Dinner and Classic Sunday Brunch. During the Sports Party theme, for example, you'll learn how to make chicken wings, BBQ ribs, tri-tip, and an array of appetizers culminating in the Super Bowl Madness Party!
We teach a variety of cooking styles and techniques throughout the week which all leads the campers to our weekly Friday challenge. Campers participate in an awesome "Iron Chef" style cooking challenge where they create, dishes using the secret ingredients and the skills taught that week. Bon appetit!
Rock Star Camp
Future rockers write, play and record their own songs in this very unique specialty. Campers begin with vocal warm-up and rhythm exercises. Many campers prefer to play an instrument, and can be introduced to their choice of drums, guitar, bass or keyboards. With qualified musicians and instructors to guide them in a supportive and creative environment our junior rock stars are taught the basics of multi-track recording and production. At the conclusion of this specialty, campers will perform their tunes for the entire camp at our specialty showcase and take home a CD of their work!
Dance Academy
Dance routines come to life in this non-stop, heart-pounding specialty! Campers will learn high-energy combinations of modern jazz and hip-hop choreography--isolations, spins, twists and turns--all set to the latest beats. Boys can join in and learn urban dance moves such as popping, locking, hitting, jamming, flexing, wave and break dancing! After they complete their toe-tapping training, Pali campers will perform their moves on stage as they "wow" the entire camp with a dazzling dance show. As an added bonus campers keep their costumes and take home a stunning professional head shot. A DVD of their mind-blowing performances will be mailed to all campers after the summer!
Acting Academy
Jump start your imagination with improvisations and theater games designed to help you "think on your feet." Work on monologues and learn how to play a motivation. By using a video camera to record their acting exercises and watching the playback, campers can "video study" their performances. Campers will perform a few skits and routines on stage in our Showcase spectacular along with auditioning and perform for movies produced by the Pali Film Institute. As a bonus, all campers will receive a DVD of their performances in the Pali movies and receive professional headshots.
Motorsports Extravaganza
At Pali Adventures' Motorsports Extravaganza, you will learn all there is to know about Motorsports! Each morning, you'll drive mini-bikes and ATVs, prepare and personalize your soap box, and spend a morning driving go-karts at a modern indoor arena!
This extreme specialty, gives campers the opportunity to learn cutting edge driving techniques and racing maneuvers on Pali's three dirt tracks. Instruction is customized from beginner to advanced, with more opportunities to push it to the limit as you improve.
Girl Power Extreme
Pali Adventures offers this girls-only specialty for campers wishing to participate in awesome heart pounding extreme activities in a safe and supportive environment.
Pali rolls out all of the extreme activities for Girl Power! From the paintball to the high ropes course to Quadzilla, this specialty is designed to build perseverance and determination. Skateboarding and rollerblading at Pali's state-of-the art skate park, or riding ATV’s on our racetrack you will be sure to have an adventure unlike any other.
Girls will be girls, and that's why Girl Power Extreme includes activities that encourage you to be as girly as you like! Activities like manis & pedis, yoga and bonding time are offered to balance out the this full-on specialty adventure.
Movie Make-Up Academy
Throughout your week at Pali's Movie Makeup Academy you will learn the secrets of creating movie magic! Under the guidance of professional Hollywood makeup artists, you will learn how to make a fellow camper look like the zombie or turn them into The Hulk.
Lessons on makeup application, matching skin color are the foundation of the program and move into demonstrations on molding clay to create unique disguises the application of bald caps and a fake noses. Wound Wednesday offers campers the thrill of creating gashes, cuts, and head wounds! Your work will look so real you might even scare yourself.
The ideas are endless and the more creative you are, the more fun you will have!
Using your mastery of make-up techniques will allow you to work with the campers in the Pali Film Institute to create the makeup effects for their productions. These productions will be screened at the Pali Showcase in front of hundreds of cheering campers.

Counselor In Training / Leadership
You are never too young to lead! Pali offers campers the opportunity to participate in a series of hands-on challenges, workshops and activities designed to teach the skills and mindset of exceptional leadership.
For 15 - 16 year-olds hoping to one day emulate their favorite Pali counselors and for those campers wishing to develop skills that will serve them in college and in life, Pali's CIT and Leadership programs will inspire you to identify your potential and develop a clearer sense of purpose and responsibility. Interactive leadership workshops will have campers practicing the essential skills of teambuilding, creative thinking and conflict resolution.
Participation in ground-based ropes course initiatives, high ropes challenges, night hikes, and paintball missions will be combined with classroom-based sessions where you will learn about real world leaders and their secrets to success. Participants will fully participate in our afternoon electives and evening activities, though you will often serve in a leadership role ensuring maximum organization, participation and enjoyment for yourself and your fellow campers
